Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT)

For NQTs, the first year of teaching is full of new responsibilities, experiences and opportunities to build on. Training and Development

SIPS believes that in order to develop the next generation of outstanding teachers, training and support should be focused on needs and current issues. The training package includes sessions for NQTs to develop pedagogical knowledge across a range of key subjects, develop classroom management and behaviour techniques, share ideas, reflect on own professional practice and network with other NQTs. Each course can be booked individually according to needs or NQTs can attend the full training programme at a discounted rate. Induction Tutors can also benefit from networks, training and development opportunities. We also run sessions to support action planning and assessment practice for NQTs.
