Offering a diverse range of services to Schools, Academies and Multi Academy Trusts across the region, we are currently seeking a Head of Service for our highly regarded IT Service.

The Role:
SIPS IT is a team of 30 highly skilled and experienced professionals, currently offering services to around 250 schools across all age groups.
We have a varied and extensive offer to schools, which includes SIMS.net/Finance Support, on-site technician services, off site back-up solutions, Technical Helpdesk Support, training programmes, bespoke project work etc.
We are looking for a Head of IT with proven managerial experience and an in-depth knowledge of the MIS marketplace. Ideally you will have a background with Capita SIMS.net solutions, good technical skills, experience of change management and service improvement/development.
As a leading support unit for SIMS.net, you will be responsible for taking the team into the next stage of MIS development for this market leading product. At the same time you will be leading on the expansion of the support we offer into other MIS systems and solutions, who are steadily increasing their market penetration and are now looking to work with local support partners.
The experienced Technical Team is currently reviewing and adapting the services we offer, and looking to expand our customer base by finding ways to work smarter and leaner, and the successful candidate will be at the forefront of this transformation.

What we ask for in return:
Educated to Degree level and/or equivalent professional qualification in IT
At least 5 years’ experience in MIS (preferably SIMS.net) of which 3 years should be at a senior manager level
Proven success in business growth with strong commercial skills in order to develop and manage finances, sales and marketing strategies
An understanding of the current MIS landscape and a good knowledge of IT Services within the Education Sector
Experience of working with MATs
